Monkey Love
The Factory is now an official affiliate of Monkey Nutrition Take a Look and we are in good company with Brad ‘One-Punch’ Pickett and Victor Estima among the Team Monkey line up.
Those guys at Monkey have recently won Men’s Health Magazine Best Protein for their no junk Primal 26 (the rebranded UltraMass), which has confirmed the evangelising of some of our Factory Troopers that won’t touch another protein since going ape.

Factory Fitness Test
That time again… The 10 week cycle of The Factory ends in a fitness test. Designed to test all areas of your training and body and to gauge how much you have progressed from the endurance, strength, power and mobility sessions in the preceding 9 weeks. You only battle yourself and your previous scores. All the test are replicable so the change in performance is solely down to you and your effort. Good luck.
Jeff Glover Vs Caio Terra – 2012 Jiu-Jitsu World Expo
With the Nick Diaz no show dominating the tweets and blogs after the expo lets not forget the great superfights that did happen especially Glover Vs Terra (who did fancy competing from Team Cesar Gracie) which was fight of the night.
Explosive from start to finish, Glover is great to watch. Still not sure about the Pipe Layer nickname though, there’s no need for that on the mats.
Love Getting Post | @DSTRYsg Patches
I’m like a kid with getting parcels through the post and I’ve been waiting for these to hit the mat.
From across the pond these gi patches are the creation of the enthusiastic, 100% Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling Website curator DSTRY/SG.
Now, to find a needle and thread to get them on my Gi ready for the other mat.
29 Submission Escapes | Grapplers Guide
Another 8 minutes of grappling showreel from the mats at Grapplers Guide. Always worth a watch, in this video Jason takes you through 29 escapes and submission defences which have a good chance at being pulled off, at breakneck speed.
All the sub escapes, including; Arm Bar, Omo-Plata, Triangle, Collar Chokes and Kimuras are banged out one after the other with some variations mixed in.
With so many ducks shot down it is virtually impossible for there not to be a ‘I could use that’ technique in these videos from Grapplers Guide. As Jason says at the start, the videos are a demo and for inspiration, the details, variations and help with fitting in your game come from having a good instructor. If you’re looking for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Hertfordshire area maybe try Ze Marcello and Team Icon… just a suggestion.
